Oh I do like to be beside the seaside

I’ve been busy creating new products for all of you happy glass lovers inspired by the stunning summer we’ve had in Cornwall. I’ve been making an effort to get out of the studio and enjoy the beautiful coastline, including the rivers with places like Restronguet Creek on my doorstep and the wild spa at Maenporth. I take inspiration from so much of my surroundings, it can be as simple as seeing the bees and butterflies in my garden or meeting customers at our River Barns studio who are here on holiday and want to see more of my range or teaching at a workshop and sharing the magic of fused glass.

But a big draw for me has always been the ocean and what lives under that beautiful big blue sea so I’ve expanded on the coastal collection and have some new designs for August.

The new additions are:

Funny fish – available at Padstow in the Picture House Gallery or on the website. I think these will make great gifts for ocean lovers, they’re a bit quirky and unique with eyes to ogle you!

Beach huts – limited edition, there’s only one of these available on the website – grab it while you can. The colours are pastel and evoque those classic British seaside holidays.

Introducing the newest gems in our Coastal Collection – the A3 Cornish crabs and lobster
The Cornish Lobster and Crabs are striking pieces that bring the serene beauty of the sea straight into your home. With delicate pale blue tones, they shimmer as they catch the light.
They are mounted onto glass and framed in a wooden handmade frame, the size is A3/ 33 x 45cm, these are available on the website or in the showroom – River Barns studio, Portreath

Seahorse – at our stockists in Padstow or available to be made to order. This statement piece is one of a kind, its strikingly blue tones really catch your eye as you enter the room. We were sad to see this go out of the studio but can’t wait to see it hung on someone’s wall.
